About Us The Oceanfront Bandshell Entertainment Series, in its 11th year, takes place on Friday nights with additional entertainment on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends. This historic amphitheater is located inside of the Ritchey Plaza on the Northern end of the Boardwalk amusements area and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun with our FREE entertainment for patrons. Built of coquina in 1937, the Bandshell can host up to 5,000 people for other public or private events such as outdoor weddings, receptions, group activities or various other events. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION VIP seating is available for purchase for $10.00 which includes prime seating towards the front of the stage. VIP is not assigned seating, all seating is general admission in the access controlled area. Tickets can be purchased at the Bandshell box office on show days, online at www.ticketmaster.com and in person at the Peabody Auditorium, Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. In addition to the Daytona Beach Bandshell Summer Entertainment Series, the Boardwalk merchants and Friends of the Bandshell are hosting a free “Star-Spangled Summer” concert series on Saturday Nights.
