According to a Facebook post shared by the Daytona Beach Police Department, on April 17, 2023, multiple Patrol Officers responded to a call for service at the Carolina Club Apartments. Upon arrival, officers located Jeremy Nixon, who had several open felony warrants out of Volusia County for aggravated assault and trafficking of Fentanyl in the range of 4-14 grams.
Officers arrested Nixon for the warrants and multiple new law violations, including trafficking Fentanyl in the range of 14-28 grams, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, and possession of paraphernalia.
In a follow-up investigation, the Daytona Beach Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit obtained a search warrant for Nixon’s vehicle on April 18, 2023. While searching the car, detectives found 391 grams of suspected fentanyl, 305 grams of suspected cocaine, 129 grams of cannabis, $39,900 in US currency, and two semi-automatic handguns.
As a result of these findings, Nixon now faces charges of armed trafficking of fentanyl over 28 grams, armed trafficking of cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of cannabis with intent to sell, and possession of paraphernalia.
