Tuesday, June 1, Deric C. Feacher began the next step in his career as the new City Manager for the City of Daytona Beach.
After three of the five finalists for City Manager withdrew, Feacher won the vote versus Terrence Moore, City Manager of College Park, Georgia.
Feacher has served 20+ years in government, working his way up from Recreational Leader to City Manager and serving two municipalities in the State of Florida.
“I have an awareness of what it takes to make this place the center for everything that happens. So thank you, for the opportunity of sharing this moment through this medium of why I want to be here, and why I plan on staying a part of this community for many, many years to come as the City Manager of Daytona Beach, Florida,” Feacher said in an introduction video found on the City's website.
The public is invited to meet Deric C. Feacher at a Meet and Greet event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, at the John H. Dickerson Center off Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, in Daytona Beach.
After a brief introduction, there will be a question and answer session. The Midtown Community Development Corporation will be hosting the Meet and Greet event.
Seats are limited. Masks and temperature checks are required.
