Fatal shooting deemed a homicide in Daytona Beach.

The Daytona Beach Police Department is deeming a fatal shooting off Tucker Street in Daytona Beach as a homicide. Officers were dispatched to the scene just before midnight on Monday, January 9, 2023. Upon arrival, the victim, Travis Hubbert Jr., 20, was found in the driveway of this location with multiple gunshot wounds. 

According to witness reports, an unknown vehicle drove by the location while firing several shots at Hubbert and the residence. Daytona Beach Fire Department and EVAC units arrived on the scene and transported him to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The next of kin has been notified, and the motive behind this incident is unknown.
