Volusia County is currently accepting applications for the Countywide Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program for local non-profits and cities for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023. Eligible purposes for the grant include law enforcement, prosecution, court prevention, education, corrections, community corrections, drug treatment, drug enforcement, planning, evaluation, technology improvement, crime victim and witness programs, mental health, and other related law enforcement and corrections programs.

According to a release, the county anticipates $139,627 to be received from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, but this amount is subject to change based on available funds.

Application submissions will be accepted until noon on September 9, 2022, and detailed instructions are in the application. The Children and Families Advisory Board will review and score applications before making funding recommendations that will need final approval by the Volusia County Council.

To request an application, contact Antoinette Cannon at acannon@volusia.org or 386-736-5955, ext. 12962.
