Murder-Suicide under investigation in Daytona Beach.

On the evening of Friday, November 17, 2023, law enforcement officers with the Daytona Beach Police Department responded to a distressing call of shots fired at 1400 Hancock Boulevard in Daytona Beach. The unsettling chain of events began with a verbal altercation between the two individuals, witnessed by multiple onlookers outside the apartment. The dispute continued inside, and witnesses reported an alarming escalation culminating in the chilling sound of multiple gunshots followed by an eerie silence.
Promptly arriving at the scene at approximately 9:12 p.m., law enforcement discovered the lifeless bodies of the male and female within the apartment. The Criminal Investigations Unit and Crime Scene Unit meticulously processed the scene, collecting evidence and unraveling the circumstances of the incident.
Authorities emphasize that there is no immediate threat to public safety, as there is no reason to believe that any suspects are at large, being the preliminary investigations point to a murder/suicide.
