The City of Daytona Beach Shores has temporarily waived local building permit fees for reconstruction or repairs needed because of damage caused by Hurricane Ian through November 10, 2022, and possibly extended for major reconstruction or repair projects.
According to a release, the Daytona Beach Shores City Council approved a resolution authorizing the temporary fee waiver for storm-related damage on Tuesday. The fee waiver applies only to the reconstruction or repair of the structure to its previously permitted condition. The property owner or contractor is required to provide proof of storm damage. Contractors must pass the savings from the fee waivers to the property owner.
