Section 8 Applicants are being Asked to Contact Volusia County.

In a release dated early Wednesday, all Volusia County Residents who have previously applied to the Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8), through the county are being asked to contact the county’s Community Assistance Division to update their information.

Pre-Application Status Verification Forms will be mailed out to the 651 residents on the waiting list on March 31, 2020.

Applicants must complete the form and return it to Community Assistance no later than April 14, 2020.

Preference will be given to individuals and families with a disabled adult who is, or who is at risk of being homeless. Families that meet these criteria should submit documentation from the Social Security Administration or a Medical Professional.
