The City of Ormond Beach has announced a road closure for Wilmette Avenue from Wednesday, May 4, through Thursday, May 5.

The City of Ormond Beach has announced a road closure for Wilmette Avenue, between North Orchard Street & North Center Street, starting Wednesday, May 4, and ending Thursday, May 5.

According to a release, the road closure will allow for Storm Water Improvements in the area.

Traffic detours have been set up through Sterthaus Drive using North Center Street and North Orchard Street, and residents should expect some minimal delays. Once work is complete on Wilmette Avenue, the road will be re-opened, and traffic will be permitted to resume.
