Traffic Advisory: Westbound Lane Closure on Hand Avenue for Resurfacing

A much-needed milling and resurfacing operation on Hand Avenue in Ormond Beach has prompted a temporary westbound lane closure from Sunday, July 9, through Tuesday, July 11, 2023, between 7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to minimize disruptions to daily traffic.

The closure, which extends from Williamson Boulevard to Chelsea Place, aims to improve the road conditions along this section of Hand Avenue, benefiting both motorists and pedestrians. Milling and resurfacing activities are essential for maintaining the integrity and safety of the road, ensuring a smoother driving experience.

During the specified closure period, motorists should plan their travel accordingly and expect potential delays, particularly when traveling in the westbound direction on Hand Avenue. A well-signed lane closure/flagging operation will be in place.
