Votran Implements Route Modifications for Speedweek in Daytona Beach Area
Due to the anticipated traffic increases around the Speedweek festivities, Votran will enact route modifications from Thursday, February 15, through Sunday, February 18, in Daytona Beach and surrounding areas. Passengers traveling in these areas are urged to prepare for the adjustments specified below to mitigate potential delays. Additional alterations may be necessary depending on traffic conditions.
Daytime Service: Thursday and Friday
- Route 11A will not serve the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market, Thames Road, or Fentress Boulevard. The bus will travel from International Speedway Boulevard to Williamson Boulevard to begin the inbound route.
- Route 18 will not serve Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University or the Daytona Beach International Airport. Buses will use International Speedway Boulevard to and from the Volusia Mall.
Daytime Service: Saturday
- Route 10 will not enter the Volusia Mall parking lot. The bus will stay on International Speedway Boulevard to Bill France Boulevard. Passengers can use the bus stops at International Speedway Boulevard and Midway Avenue.
- Route 11A will not enter the Volusia Mall parking lot. The bus will stay on Bill France Boulevard to International Speedway Boulevard. Additionally, the bus will not serve the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market, Thames Road, or Fentress Boulevard. The bus will travel from International Speedway Boulevard to Williamson Boulevard to begin the inbound route.
- Route 18 will not serve Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the Daytona Beach International Airport, nor enter the Volusia Mall parking lot. Buses will use International Speedway Boulevard to and from Bill France Boulevard.
Daytime Service: Sunday
- Route 10S will not enter the Volusia Mall parking lot. The bus will also not serve the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market or Thames Road. The bus will stay on International Speedway Boulevard in both directions.
Nighttime Service: Thursday through Saturday
- Route 10N will not enter the Volusia Mall parking lot. The bus will use Bill France Boulevard to International Speedway Boulevard.
Routes 11B and 60, which both serve the area near the Daytona International Speedway, currently do not have planned detours but may experience delays.
