City makes marks in U.S. News & World Report rankings

The city of Daytona Beach has been named amongst thirteen Florida cities to rank in the ‘Top 25 Best Places to Retire’.
According to a release from the city, U.S. News & World Report recently released rankings for Best Places to Live & Retire 2020-21. The annual list ranks 150 metro areas in the United States based on each area’s quality of life and the job market, as well as the value of living there and people’s desire to live there.
Daytona Beach was featured at #15 in the country. Also, our community was ranked at #12 for the Best Place to Live in Florida.
Daytona Beach took the #6 spot as the fastest-growing place, making it the highest-ranked city in Central Florida. Fort Myers tied with Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for the top spot, followed by Naples, Sarasota, and Ocala. Lakeland; Port St. Lucie; Fort Collins, Colorado; and Austin, Texas; round out the top ten.
