Daytona Beach fishing Pier Temporarily Closed.

The Daytona Beach Fishing Pier located on Main St. will be temporarily closed.

City officials decided to close the fishing section of the pier, in light of the high surf advisories that are in effect.

The high surf advisories are from the high-pressure system and Hurricane Teddy that produced high wind gusts, rain, and dangerous rip currents over the weekend.

Once the surf calms, and officials advise it is safe for the pier to reopen, an update will be posted.
