The USS Mindanao is a 446 foot World War II Liberty ship that carried supplies to American troops. She was sank 12 miles east of Daytona Beach in 1980 to create Daytona’s first artificial reef.
The Mindanao rests 85’ below the surface and is home to
Snapper, Grouper, Amberjacks, Cobia, Sharks, Barracudas, Triggerfish, Spadefish, Sea Bass and many more species. This is some of the best offshore bottom fishing in the Daytona Beach area!
