In-season beach ramps are now open.

Twenty-two beach ramps in Volusia County opened today to mark the start of Volusia County’s annual in-season beach ramp schedule. The beach ramps provide access to county beaches, from Ormond Beach to New Smyrna Beach, with multiple entry lanes at the more heavily trafficked locations.

One ramp at 27th Avenue in New Smyrna Beach will not open, as the city is replacing the ramp and should be open in June 2022. Until then, residents should use the beach ramps at 3rd Avenue or 27th Avenue Beachfront Park.

The Crawford Road beach ramp is a pass holder-only express ramp for quick access for those with a current annual beach pass. Passes are valid for a year from the purchase date, and toll attendants will inform residents when the voucher expires. Toll attendants will notify pass holders within 30 days of their current pass expiring and give them the option to renew their beach pass on the spot or the next time they visit the beach or inlet park.
