Investigation Pending in Fatal Crash on Nova Road Monday

According to a news release sent out by Messod Bendayan from the Daytona Beach Police Department, an investigation is still underway regarding the crash on Nova Road, Monday evening that claimed the life of 63-year-old Herbert Golden. 

The crash was reported in the 800 blocks of Nova Road near the Palm Cove Apartments.

According to the release Golden was in the process of crossing Nova Road when he was struck down by a brown 2015 Brown Hyundai Sonata driven by 35-year-old Deandre Harris. Harris was traveling North in the left lane when he hit Golden who was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported, and charges have been filed against Harris at this time.
