Shots fired at Dunkin Donuts in Daytona Beach spurred Mainland lockdown.

On Monday, March 27, 2023, police officers responded to a call at Dunkin' Donuts at 1173 W International Speedway Boulevard following a report of shots fired inside the establishment. The incident occurred just before 8:30 a.m.

According to a release, the manager described the suspects, who had fled the scene just before the officers arrived. Officers made contact with the suspects nearby and were able to locate the firearm in question. There were no injuries reported during the incident.

Due to the proximity of Mainland High School to the Dunkin' Donuts location, the school was put on lockdown as a precautionary measure. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
