Three Daytona Beach residents are under arrest after a search warrant, executed by the Daytona Beach Police Department, found several types of narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside a beachside home.
According to a release, members of DBPD’s Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Unit entered the home off Braddock Avenue around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers then detained those inside the dwelling at the time of the raid.
The Daytona Beach Police Department had received multiple complaints of the inhabitants selling drugs from the residence.
“There was a lot of traffic coming in and out of this area,” said POP Unit Supervisor Captain Scott Lee. “That led us to take a closer look at what was going on. We would like to thank those people for telling us what they saw. It helped clean up this neighborhood.”
Before the raid, Stacey A. Leeper, 53, turned over a bag filled with 5.9 grams of methamphetamine to a police officer. She faces a felony charge for the methamphetamines, two other felonies for morphine and oxycodone pills found in her bedroom during the raid, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Karli Elliot, 29, faces felony charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance for Heroin and Fentanyl. Benjamin Hardin, 34, faces a felony charge for possession of Heroin and a misdemeanor for supplying a false ID or name to a Law Enforcement Officer.
